Chad Heltzel
Accompanist

A native of Portland, Oregon, Chad Heltzel received his formal training in piano from the Glenn Gould School in Toronto and at the Université de Montréal, where he graduated from the doctoral program under the mentoring of Professor Marc Durand.


While a graduate student, Chad performed under the baton of Jean François Rivest and also directed performances of Bach and Mozart piano concertos from the keyboard. In addition, he has studied orchestral, opera and choral conducting at the Pierre Monteux School, the Medomak Conductor’s Retreat (Maine) and at Ithaca College (New York) with some of today’s leading pedagogues.


Mr. Heltzel currently resides in Montreal where he teaches and collaborates with local artists. Upcoming projects include a recording of Bach organ works transcribed for piano with the Montreal label XXI-21. For more information, please visit the website www.chadheltzel.com.
